A man is being hunted by British Transport Police in Cornwall over an assault on a member of rail staff.

The man got off a train on platform two at Truro Station at about 0815 GMT on Friday 14 January without a ticket.

He is then said to have started shouting and swearing after being told he would need his ticket to leave the platform because of security barriers.

After retrieving his ticket from the train, he then threw it at the staff member and shoved him in the chest.

Police said the staff member was uninjured, but was left shaken by the incident.
