Cornwall centre offers help for disabled

A new centre for people with learning disabilities is opening in Penzance.

The Old Dairy in the town centre will have workshops and information sessions on housing and benefits as well as a job club.

The Cornwall Council-run centre, which opens on 8 December, also has an art gallery, tea room and community room.

Art for sale includes paintings, sculpture, photography, pottery and jewellery by local artists and people who have a learning disability.

Zoe King, from the centre, said: "Our aim is to become the national hub for artists with learning disabilities."
