Police arrest two men for attempted murder in Cornwall


Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Cornwall after a man was found with severe head wounds.

Police were called to Well Street in Callington on Sunday evening following reports that a 38-year-old man had sustained serious injuries.

A short time later a 28-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, followed by a second man - aged 31 - in the early hours.

The injured man was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The two men who were arrested are in custody at Launceston police station, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said.
