Man in court charged with Cornwall woman's murder

A Devon man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman whose body was found in her house in Cornwall.

The body of 55-year-old Amanda Sorrell was found in Stoke Climsland, near Callington, on 27 September.

John O'Rourke, 65, from The Parade, Milton Abbot, near Tavistock, appeared at East Cornwall Magistrates' Court.

He entered no plea and was remanded in custody to appear at Plymouth Crown Court on Monday 11 October.
