Goonhilly wind turbine construction begins

Work to erect six new 350ft (107m) high wind turbines has begun in Cornwall.
Cornwall Light and Power is replacing all 14 of its 25m (82ft) high wind turbines at its Goonhilly Downs site, on the Lizard, with the six machines.
When completed, the £12m project is expected to be able to generate enough electricity to power about 5,500 homes, CLP said.
The site's 14 original machines were installed in 1993 and are coming to the end of their 20-year working life.
