Mother-of-three found dead in Wisbech named

A mother-of-three who was found dead in her house has been identified by police.

Laraine Maria Rayner was discovered by officers at the property in Mill Road in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, on Sunday evening after they were called to reports of concern for a woman.

A post mortem concluded the 52-year-old died from a stab wound to the neck.

In a statement, her family said: "Laraine was a cheerful, happy lady who was always there for other people.

"She would often come out with one line comments that would make people laugh. She will be sadly missed by all the family."

A 43-year-old man from Wisbech has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in hospital with minor injuries.
