Man bailed after biker police officer hurt on M11

A man arrested after a police motorcyclist was struck and seriously injured by a car on the M11, has been released on bail.

The crash, involving a stolen black BMW, happened near junction 10 at Duxford, Cambridgeshire, on 9 June.

A 23-year-old man from Essex was arrested on Monday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and burglary offences.

He has been bailed until 29 July, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The stolen BMW car was recovered in Harston shortly after the incident.
