A mother has appeared in court charged with causing or allowing the death of her two-year-old daughter.

Amina Agboola, of Yaxley, Cambridgeshire, died in hospital after receiving a "blunt force trauma" to her stomach which ruptured her liver on 21 November, an inquest heard.

Sarah Raqueman, 28, of Scott Drive, Yaxley, was remanded in custody at Peterborough Magistrates' Court.

She will next appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 13 January.

Ms Raqueman's boyfriend Dean Harris, 19, also of Scott Drive, Yaxley, was charged with murder soon after the death.

He is due to attend Cambridge Crown Court on 28 February.

Amina was described by her father, Reuben Agboola, as a "little princess".
