Fenland Council staff warned over relationships

A council in Cambridgeshire has drawn up a new "relationships at work" policy to warn staff against intimacy in the workplace.

Fenland District Council, which said the policy had not been prompted by an incident, wants to ensure staff behave in a professional manner.

Intimate behaviour during work time is not acceptable and any breach could be regarded as a disciplinary manner.

The policy is due to be approved by the council's staff committee on Monday.
