Plans to make a Cambridgeshire town the centre of a major development have been submitted.
More than 1,000 homes could be built on the outskirts of Huntingdon along with a primary school, community centre and sports pitches.
Developers want to build on the 123 acre (50 hectare) site off Ermine Street.
The planning application has been submitted to Huntingdonshire District Council.
Planners John Martin and Associates said: "The proposed residential development is seen as vital in meeting a proportion of the housing requirement identified for the Huntingdonshire District over the next 15-year period as well as generating wealth and employment in the local area."
