A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with a fraud which began in Cambridgeshire.

A businessman had his card stolen while in a meeting in a Huntingdon hotel on the morning of 29 September.

Police, who have only just released details, said within hours the card had been used to withdraw £3,600.

The money was withdrawn from Halifax branches in Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.

These were at Huntingdon, St Ives, Kettering, Corby, Market Harborough and Leicester.

A further withdrawal of £900 was attempted at 1300 BST at another branch in Leicester but a cashier challenged the activity and the offender left.

Pc Steve Marshall said "I am keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises this man.

"I would also appeal to the man himself to contact police as he may hold vital information to help the investigation."
