Man fatally injured in tree crash in Cambridgeshire

A man who was driving a car which left a road and hit a tree in Cambridgeshire has died in hospital.

Police believe Stuart Woor was heading towards Cambridge when his Subaru Impreza went off the A1307 Cambridge Road at Linton on Sunday evening.

The 41-year-old, of The Green, Little Thurlow, near Haverhill, Suffolk, was rescued by firefighters working in torrential rain, officers added.

He died shortly after being taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital.

Anyone with information on the crash, which happened just before 1800 BST, is asked to contact Cambridgeshire Police.
