Six rescued from flat fire above pub in Peterborough

Six people, including a baby, have been rescued from a fire in a flat above a derelict pub in Peterborough.

Firefighters were called shortly after midnight to the former Windmill pub on the corner of Lincoln Road and St Martins Street in Millfield.

Crews helped rescue one adult and the baby. Four people were helped out of the fire by others before crews arrived.

The cause of the fire is not known and will be subject to an investigation.

Three crews called to the incident returned to base at 0226 BST.
