More than 10,000 runners have taken part in the Bristol Half Marathon as it marks its 30th anniversary.

The 13.1-mile course took in the Harbourside, the city centre, and loops along the Portway underneath the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Matt Clowe of Cardiff AAC won the men's race in 01:05:08, and Annabel Gummow from Winchester and District Athletic Club won the women's in 01:17:05.

Many competitors took part in fancy dress, raising money for charity.

One of the outfits spotted in the race on Bristol's streets was that of Star Wars' Chewbacca.

Supporters lined many of the streets to cheer on the runners.

Some road closures and additional parking restrictions will remain in force for much of Sunday.
