Dean Sawyer death: Man charged with Bristol murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a man whose body was discovered in a flat.

Dean Sawyer, 43, was found dead on 26 November and police believe his body had been in his home in City Road, Bristol for up to two weeks.

Jamie Lomax, 41, of Chargrove in Yate, was remanded in custody at Bristol Magistrates Court.

A further court date has been set for 8 January 2018.

Mr Sawyer founded the Positive Causes project based in Old Market, which works with homeless people.
