Two men have appeared in court charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in a village on Christmas Eve.

Mohammed Abdurezek, 31, had been stabbed several times. His body was found in Siston, near Bristol.

Bristol Magistrates Court heard he was killed in a flat in St George in the city as early as 5 December before his body was dumped in Siston.

Abdiwahab Mohamed Sheik Abdulahi, 22, and Karl Cullen, 42, both of no fixed address, did not enter formal pleas.

Both men remain in custody.

Their solicitors indicated they would both deny the charge.

They will next appear at Bristol Crown Court on 9 January for a bail hearing and a pre-trial hearing was set for 1 February .
