Shamus Mcnama knife death: Half-brother jailed for murder
A man has been jailed for 11 years and three months for murdering his younger half-brother.
Jazzie Francis Watson, 20, known as AJ, admitted killing 17-year-old Shamus Mcnama at their family home in Bristol in February.
Shamus, who died in hospital from stab wounds, was due to become a father, according to tributes left at the time.
The court heard the victim was stabbed ten times by a weapon, believed to have been a potato peeler or a knife.
Watson had ignored a ban on entering the family home in Lockleaze, imposed by his mother, after a previous argument and fight, the court heard.
The fight between the pair which led to Shamus's death happened on 28 February after they had been on a night out.
He was rushed to hospital but later died from his injuries.
Watson was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing.
