Half-brother admits Shamus Mcnama's murder

The half-brother of a teenage father-to-be has pleaded guilty to his murder.

Jazzie Francis Watson, known as AJ, admitted killing 17-year-old Shamus Mcnama at Bristol Crown Court.

The incident took place on Stothard Road, Lockleaze, Bristol, in March. Mr Mcnama, who was due to become a father, according to tributes, died from knife wounds in hospital.

Watson, 19, will be sentenced on 30 August.

Hundreds of floral tributes were left at the scene of Mr McNama's death, including a note and a picture of a scan of an unborn baby.

A note attached to the scan said: "RIP Daddy. I never got to meet you taken too soon, but will always be a part of me and in my heart forever. Love from your beautiful baby girl."

He is believed to have attended Orchard School and Filton High School before starting an apprenticeship at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
