Murder inquiry launched after Bristol woman's death

A murder inquiry has been launched after the death of a woman in Bristol.

The 61-year-old was found at a house on Gadshill Road in the Eastville area shortly after 14:00 BST on Tuesday.

She was taken to Southmead Hospital but later died.

A 61-year-old man has been arrested. Avon and Somerset Police said it was an isolated incident with no risk to the wider community". The force is not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
