A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a pregnant 21-year-old in Bristol.

Somali Amal Abdi, who was four months pregnant, died from stab wounds on Sunday at an address in Morley Street, Barton Hill.

Abdi Rashid Khadar, 21, of no fixed address, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Bristol Magistrates' Court.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 3 August.
