The stepbrother of Bristol teenager Becky Watts is to appear in court later charged with her murder.

Nathan Matthews, 28, of Cotton Mill Lane, Bristol will appear at the city's magistrates' court.

His girlfriend Shauna Hoare, 21, also known as Shauna Phillips, is charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and is also due in court.

Four other men and a woman, all in their 20s, are still being questioned on suspicion of assisting an offender.

On Wednesday morning, magistrates granted police a further 24 hours to question two men aged 29, two aged 23 and a woman aged 23, who had been arrested earlier in the week.

The charged couple, who share the same Cotton Mill Lane address, were arrested at the weekend.

Becky was last seen on 19 February and was reported missing the following day.

On Tuesday, police found body parts at a house in Barton Hill, Bristol.

Floral tributes have been left near that property and outside Becky's home in the St George area of the city.
