Dale Wynne named as A370 Long Ashton tree crash victim

A 55-year-old man who died when the car he was driving hit a tree, then a road sign, before landing on its roof has been named by police.

Dale Wynne, originally from the Bristol area, died at the scene of the accident on the A370 Long Ashton bypass.

The road, one of the main routes into the city, was closed for eight hours.

"Anyone who saw the BMW Cabriolet, which was heading towards Bristol at about 10:35pm on Thursday, is asked to call police," a force spokesman said.
