A man who was stabbed to death at a home for people with mental health needs in Bristol has been named by police.

Gino Nelmes, 32, died in hospital following an assault at the address in Filton Avenue, Horfield, on Saturday.

Marc Carter, 46, has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Bristol magistrates on Tuesday.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Nelmes died as a result of blood loss caused by multiple stab wounds.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said the property is managed by Keystones Mental Health Support Services, and offers care and support to adults with mental health needs.
