Man stabbed on Stapleton Road in Bristol

A man, believed to be in his 20s, has been stabbed on a busy road in Bristol.

Police and paramedics were called to the incident on Stapleton Road in Easton at about 17:25 GMT on Wednesday.

Great Western Ambulance Service said when paramedics arrived, police had already taken him to the Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Police said the man's injuries were not thought to be serious and no arrests had been made. Part of the road has been closed both ways.
