A man has been jailed for life for murdering a man as he lay sleeping in a Bristol squat.

Bristol Crown Court heard Karol Krawczyk, 31, was repeatedly hit over the head with a blunt instrument at the Red House in December.

Mariusz Trybus, 35 and his girlfriend Edyta Baranska, of the Red House in Frogmore Street, denied murdering him.

Trybus was jailed for a minimum of 15 years after a jury found him guilty. Ms Baranska, 20, was acquitted.

The trial finished on 9 September.
