Former hostage Camilla Carr thanks Roman Abramovich

A former hostage has publicly thanked Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich for helping them gain freedom.

Camilla Carr and husband Jon James, originally from Bath and Lydney respectively but now living in Devon, were seized by masked gunmen in Chechnya in 1997 and released over a year later.

Now, thirteen years later, the Chelsea Football Club owner has revealed he played a role in their rescue.
