Fire shuts road to England Sri Lanka cricket match

A busy road used by cricket fans travelling to an international match has been closed after a shop fire.

England play a sold-out Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka at the County Ground in Bristol at 1430 BST on Saturday.

Firefighters were called to the the Creations Nail Studio on the city's Gloucester Road, a main route to the cricket ground from the city centre, at about 1000 BST.

Six fire engines and a control unit attended the scene. It is not known whether anyone was injured in the fire.
