A Bristol church will open its doors on Sunday to those affected by the murder of a father-of-one in Patchway.

Wayne Brown, 25, was taken to hospital with stabbing injuries to his chest and abdomen after police were called to Rodway Road on 9 January.

He later died and a 21-year-old man, Steve Vice, has been charged with his murder.

St Chad's Church, on Rodway Road, will be offering prayer for residents between 1400 and 1600 GMT.

Mr Vice, of Patchway, is due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Friday.

The family of Mr Brown, who had a three-year-old son, have paid tribute to "the most perfect son, brother and daddy that you could ever wish for".

They said Mr Brown had a three-year-old son.
