Pair hurt after gang attack near Bristol

A man and a woman were assaulted by a group of 15 people when they walked back from a night out near Bristol.

The pair were walking along an alley between Palmers Close and Tintern Close in Barrs Court on Friday when they were subjected to verbal abuse.

The man challenged the group who then kicked and punched him before attacking his partner.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the pair did not suffer serious injuries in the attack.

Officers have released descriptions of three of the gang with the first thought to be aged in his mid to late teens and wearing a balaclava.

The second was white with collar-length mousy coloured hair, the third was described as mixed-race and wearing a dark jacket with a white hooded top beneath.
