Flights at Leeds Bradford Airport disrupted by winds

Some flights to Leeds Bradford Airport have been disrupted by high winds across West Yorkshire.

Flights were diverted away from the airport and people were advised to check flight information before arriving there.

The Met Office warned of severe gales and said west and southwesterly winds could reach 70mph (112kmph).

In Leeds, residents were evacuated from a block of flats after the roof was damaged by winds.
