Batley two-year-old breaks leg in hit-and-run

A two-year-old boy suffered a broken leg in a hit-and-run incident in Batley, police have said.

The child was struck by a car outside the post office on Commercial Street at 1130 GMT on Monday.

It is believed that the car, described as small and light green or silver, initially stopped but then drove off.

The occupants were both white men believed to be in their 30s. Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
