Masked robbers attack girl and mother at Bradford home

A gang of masked robbers dressed in boiler suits burst into a family home in Bradford and confronted a teenage girl.

The 14-year-old was knocked to the ground and then restrained by one of the men while the others searched the property in Low Mill Lane, Addingham.

The girl's mother was also restrained during the robbery on Monday.

Detectives said the mother and daughter were not physically hurt but had been left "very distressed".

The robbers, who stole jewellery, were disturbed by a dog walker who had seen the family's dog running loose and had gone up to the house to investigate.

Det Insp John Mountain, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: "This was clearly a very distressing incident for the two family members involved and I'm appealing to the community in Addingham, specifically in the Ilkley Road and Low Mill Lane areas, to contact us if they saw anything out of the ordinary around these locations."
