Police purge on Bradford car crime


A police purge on traffic-related crime in a part of West Yorkshire saw seven vehicles seized because they were on a road without insurance.

During the day-long operation 20 drivers were fined for using a mobile phone while behind the wheel.

Officers targeted the Barkerend Road area of Bradford in a day-long operation that also focused on private hire licensing in the city.

Taxi officials checked 18 vehicles, issuing two suspension notices.
