Taxi driver robbed at gunpoint in Walsall

A taxi driver was threatened at gunpoint and had his car stolen, West Midlands Police have said.

The armed robbery took place in Woodwards Place, Pleck, Walsall, on Sunday evening.

The driver picked up a white man who got into the front seat. As they discussed the fare two black men got into the back seat.

All three men then threatened the driver with the gun, took some cash and drove off in his Ford Mondeo.

The taxi driver was not injured in the incident.

Police would like anyone with information, or anyone who sees the black car - registration FG56 XYJ - to contact them.
