Murder inquiry starts after body found in Wolverhampton

A murder inquiry has started after a man's body was found with head injuries on a street in Wolverhampton.

Officers were called to Clifton Street in the Chapel Ash area of the town just before midnight on Tuesday.

Detectives have not yet released the name of the man and are awaiting the results of a post-mortem test to establish the cause of death.

They said Chapel Ash was a busy area and anyone who had seen anything after 2200 BST should contact police.
