Man arrested over Birmingham tram stop murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering another man who was stabbed to death at a tram stop.
Anthony Banting, 57, from Sparkhill, Birmingham, was found dead on a pathway leading from the Soho Benson Road tram stop in the Winson Green area.
He was repeatedly stabbed after getting off a tram alone at about 16:30 BST on 31 March.
A man in his 20s was arrested earlier and remains in custody, British Transport Police said.
The father-of-four was on his way to meet his son in a nearby pub when he was killed.
Following his death, his family said: "He was loved by many and this incident will never leave us."
On Friday, Mr Banting's four sons visited the scene to lay floral tributes in memory of their father.
