Key suspect in Giovanni Lewis murder probe named

A key suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a Birmingham man has been named by detectives.

Giovanni Lewis, 28, died from a single stab wound to the heart after being stabbed in October.

Police are now hunting 19-year-old Jammal Chase, who is originally from Birmingham, but currently of no fixed address.

Members of the public are urged not to approach Mr Chase and should call 999 if they see him.

Mr Lewis was left outside Heartlands Hospital at about 19:45 BST on 18 October.

Det Insp Paul Joyce, from Force CID, said: "It's important we locate Jammal Chase as soon as possible and I would urge anyone with any information about his whereabouts to contact us.

"I also want to appeal to Jammal directly. Do the right thing and come forward to tell your side of the story."
