Man charged in Kitts Green 'road rage attack'

A man has been charged over a suspected road rage attack which has left another man in an induced coma in hospital.

A 37-year-old car driver suffered serious head injuries following a minor crash between a car and a van at about 18:30 BST in Gressel Lane, Kitts Green.

Daniel Bond, 29, of Elmore Close, Solihull, has been charged with wounding with intent over the incident in Birmingham on Friday.

Mr Bond, a builder, was remanded in custody by Birmingham magistrates.

He is due to appear at the city's crown court in 5 September.

The car driver, who was on his way home to his family, was punched in the incident, officers said previously.

The father was placed in an induced coma and his condition remained "unchanged" on Monday, police said.
