A motorcyclist who died when he crashed into a telegraph pole was a "beloved son, brother, grandson and partner", his family has said.

Jake Waldron, 25, of south Birmingham, died in Weoley Avenue in the Weoley Castle area of the city in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police investigating his death have arrested a man on suspicion of vehicle theft.

The 22-year-old was later released on police bail.

Sgt Steve Newbury, from the West Midlands collision investigation unit, said: "A young man has lost his life tragically and I would like to hear from anyone who has information to help our investigation.

"Our thoughts remain with Jake's family at this difficult time."
