Murder charge over West Bromwich man stabbed in 2015

A man has been charged with the murder of a 65-year-old man who was stabbed at his Black Country home in 2015.

Police investigating the murder of Ronald Smith, who died of stab wounds at his West Bromwich home on 2 June 2015, initially arrested two men.

Paul Robert Cooke, 35, of no fixed address, will appear before Sandwell magistrates on Friday.

A 60-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with Mr Smith's death has been released without charge.
