Attempted murder arrests over Solihull stabbings

Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three schoolboys were stabbed.

A 16-year-old suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition in hospital. Two others, both aged 15, were treated for minor injuries.

The attack took place in the Hobs Meadow area near Westcote Close, Solihull at about 18:00 on Saturday.

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were arrested at their homes just before 19:00 on Sunday.

Det Sgt Sam Price of West Midlands Police said: "It is still unclear as to what actually happened and we have officers working around the clock to establish the circumstances."

She appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to make contact.

The three injured teenagers went to hospital shortly after the incident at about 18:00 GMT on Saturday.
