Oldbury venue assault man named after death

A man who died after suffering head injuries at an entertainment venue has been named by police.

Inderjit Singh Dhariwal, 49, was hurt at Samsons Banqueting Suite in Rood End Road, Oldbury, at about 02:00 GMT on Sunday.

Two men are being held on suspicion of murder.

A 36-year-old man from Stourbridge and a 42-year-old man from Rowley Regis were arrested on Monday evening, West Midlands Police said.

Mr Dhariwal, from Oldbury, had been attending a charity event at the venue. He was taken to hospital but died on Monday.
