'Removal man' denies stealing contents of family's home

A man has pleaded not guilty to stealing the contents of a flat belonging to a family who were moving home.

Lee Green, 32, of West Bromwich, allegedly advertised himself as a "man with a van" offering a removals service.

The court heard he is accused of taking property valued at up to £10,000.

Mr Green denied a charge of theft at Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court and will appear in court on 15 February.

He was charged earlier this month and was arrested in September, a week after Becky Szenk and Mark Higgins hired a man to help them move from their flat in Bilston to the Horse and Jockey pub in Walsall Wood, which they now run.
