A 31-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found lying in a Birmingham street with serious head injuries.

Phillip Floyd, 50, was found on Forest Road, Moseley, on Tuesday 28 January and later died in hospital.

Police thought Mr Floyd was a hit-and-run victim but began a murder investigation after tests showed he died from a blow to the head.

The male suspect, from Moseley, has been released on police bail.

Det Insp Ian Iliffe said a car seized from the Small Heath area was also undergoing forensic tests.
