Willenhall hit-and-run suspect quizzed over attempted murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of two people injured in a hit-and-run in the early hours of Saturday.

A 41-year-old man is in a critical condition with serious head and neck injuries after being struck outside a pub in Union Street, Willenhall.

The second victim, aged 25, suffered minor cuts and bruises.

A 27-year-old Wolverhampton man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

The car, a silver E-Class Mercedes, has not been found.
