An elderly woman has died and three other people have been injured as two cars collided in Birmingham.
The crash, at the junction of Newcombe Road and Sandwell Road in Handsworth, happened just before 15:50 BST.
Two other women, who had also been in the car, were taken to hospital with chest pain. The male driver of the other car was also taken to hospital.
Police have closed the two roads and said they were unlikely to reopen for "several hours".
Drivers have been asked to avoid the area.
The woman who died was airlifted to hospital but was confirmed dead shortly after arriving.
