Police have released CCTV images of two people they want to trace after a man was shot in the hand in a "targeted attack" in Birmingham.

A 30-year-old man turned up at hospital with the injury on the afternoon of Monday 17 June after the attack on Marsh Lane, Erdington.

Two men, aged 25 and 31, from the Kingstanding area were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but later released without charge.

Police want to trace two more suspects.

The two men were captured on CCTV footage at the time of the shooting.

Det Sgt Neil Aston from West Midlands Police said: "I would urge anyone who knows who they may be to come forward.

"Whilst the motive for the shooting remains unclear at this stage, we do believe it was a targeted and isolated attack.

"Regardless of the motive, there's someone out there with a potentially deadly firearm and we need to get that person and that weapon off our streets."
