Birmingham council equal pay: 'It should not have happened'

One of the women who won an equal pay ruling against Birmingham City Council has said if the authority had settled their claims earlier, it would not be facing costs of £757m now.

Joan Clulow, 71, who worked as a home carer for the council for 27 years, said she did not feel "at all" guilty about the council's situation.
