Inquiry into 'too close' planes at Birmingham Airport
A light aircraft, landing at Birmingham Airport, passed close to a passenger plane waiting to take off.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is looking into Wednesday afternoon's incident.
A spokesman for Flybe, operators of the stationary passenger plane, confirmed the incident.
The Flybe aircraft, bound for Guernsey, had 50 passengers on board. The other craft involved was a TBM 700 flying in from Belgium.
It is understood the the TBM 700 passed close enough to the Q400 Flybe plane for air traffic controllers to report the incident.
A Flybe spokesman said: "We can confirm that we are aware of the incident involving a privately-operated flight and a stationary Flybe aircraft at Birmingham Airport on Wednesday January 12.
"Flybe can further confirm that its staff have given witness statements to the AAIB."
