A lost pony has been handed in to a police station near Reading after it was found wandering alone near a busy motorway.

Officers at Wokingham Police Station said the horse was found near the A33, close to junction 11 of the M4.

In a tweet, police said the horse was "the strangest thing ever booked into Found Property."

It is currently being cared for by staff at the station while they wait for its owner to collect it.
